- On how many computers can I use LonghornMax? Can I use LonghornMax on both my laptop and desktop computers?
The purchase of LonghornMax comes with a license for one computer. To use the software on additional computers, you must purchase one additional license per computer at $50 each.
Additional licenses are intended to be used for home/work, desktop/laptop, or other combinations provided they are for the same operation. Licenses may not be "shared" with neighbors, partners, or other individuals not directly related to the operation purchasing the software.
- How many cattle records can I keep in LonghornMax?
LonghornMax can keep as many cattle records (active, inactive, and reference) as you can enter. The technology we use can support tens of thousands of records. As a matter of fact, several customers are using our software to maintain well over 10,000 cattle records.
- What kind of technical support do I get?
LonghornMax is designed to be easy to use. Technical assistance is available through the in-program help, support articles, and LonghornMax Quick Start Guide. Email and phone support (877-99-LONGHORN (877-995-6644)) are also available.
- How much do updates cost and how are they obtained?
Updates are always free and can be downloaded from the Updates page or be ordered on CD. Upgrades, when available, will be offered to current customers for a minimal charge.
- I am a Texas Longhorn Association of America (TLBAA) breeder. What unique features do I get with LonghornMax?
As the official software program of the TLBAA, an electronic herd inventory can be obtained and installed directly into LonghornMax. This file includes your active, registered cattle and their sire/dam information. TLBAA forms, including registration, breeding, and others, can be automatically generated and printed based on your records.
- Do you plan to support other Texas Longhorn associations or design versions for them?
There are no plans to support other Texas Longhorn associations.
- I am a TLBAA member. How do I get my records from the TLBAA?
To obtain your herd inventory, provide your TLBAA member number(s) to your sales representative. Herd files can only be obtained for TLBAA members in your household (ie. children, spouse). The file will then be provided in a format to install into the LonghornMax software.
- What are the system requirements to run LonghornMax?
